Mission Statement THE PRIMARY
MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT IS TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY SERVICES WITHIN THE COUNTY OF ZAPATA AND TO RESPOND TO OTHER INCIDENTS AS
REQUIRED. PROTECTION OF LIFE WITHIN ZAPATA COUNTY, AND ESTABLISH A PUBLIC
SAFETY EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR THE CHILDREN AND ELDERLY RESIDENTS OF ZAPATA COUNTY. WORKING IN CONJUNCTION
WITH OTHER COUNTY DEPARTMENTS TO PROVIDE A BETTER PLACE FOR THE RESIDENTS OF ZAPATA COUNTY.

volunteers to the present fire department members including: Emergency Care Attendants/Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technicians,
Emergency Medical Tech-Intermediate/Firefighters, and Paramedics including Arson investigators/peace officers, fire inspectors,
swift water rescue teams, HAZ-MAT awareness teams and etc. We have grown to be one of the best and will continue to grow for
